The LG 65UJ634V is one of the best offerings of LG for their 2017 TV lineup. It features a native 4K resolution, LG Ultra Luminance, HDR10 and HLD support, an IPS display panel, and a direct led type backlight system. Enabling this TV to produce very good picture quality. Of course, it is not on par with SUHD or OLED TVs but still is a very good TV.
Furthermore, this TV is capable of offering and producing bright and colourful images with stunning clearness and high level of details thanks to its built-in active HDR. However, given that this TV is not on par with OLEDs, the black colours are okay but coming from an OLED user, it definitely is missing some depth. Overall, the colours look staggering you will definitely enjoy playing games or watching movies on this TV.
The LG 65UJ634V features a native resolution of 60 Hz native refresh rate which is great. Allowing you to play your video games running at 60 frames per second, as long as your system allows you or capable to do so.
What’s even amazing about this TV is its very low input lag. Its input lag in game mode is 11 ms which is by far the lowest input lag we have seen from a TV this year and from a TV with 60-inch screen size and above. Now, this TV will surely be loved by gamers. I myself was amazed at its low input lag. Giving you the performance you need in a competitive gaming.
The LG 65UJ634V has two built-in speakers that use 10 W of power each. Typically for a TV, 20 W power is usually enough, unless you’re positioned at a distance or the room is too big. If that is the case, then it is better to consider purchasing external speakers such as sound bars to pair it with this TV. So you can turn your room into a home theatre. In terms of audio quality, the ultra surround mode of this TV is quite great. It is also worth mentioning that this TV features an LG sound sync, a magic sound tuning, a DTS decoder and a Hi-Fi audio support.
Overall, the LG 65UJ634V is one of the best TV in terms of IPS display panel that we have ever reviews. It is also by far the TV that has the lowest input lag from the 60-Inch TV range. This TV will surely be loved by gamers if it would have a lower selling price.
What we liked about this TV is its high performance and amazing gaming performance. The 60Hz refresh rate paired with a low input lag is what gamers would love to have from a TV. We also liked the overall picture reproduction performance. The picture quality is amazing. Enabling this TV to offer a wide colour palette giving this TV a high performing detail and colour accuracy.
What we did not like about this TV is its limited audio performance. Yes, 20W is typically enough but for a TV that has almost all the best picture enhancing technology, at least LG could have further given this TV far more powerful speakers. We also did not like the 60Hz refresh rate. There are other TV’s out there are at the similar price range but offer 120 Hz native refresh rate.
- LG Ultra Luminance with IPS Display
- Very Low Input Lag, surely be loved by Gamers
- Active HDR with HDR10 and HLG
- Built-in Speakers Could have been better
- 60 Hz Refresh Rate could have been better
