If you are an ESPN subscriber using a TopUp TV CAM and TV combo to view and have been previously viewing without issue, then try these easy checks.
1. Ensure that ESPN is broadcasting.
ESPN broadcasts between the following hours:
- 2pm and 4am Monday to Friday.
- 11am Saturday and 6am Sunday.
- 11am Sunday and 4am Monday.
If ESPN is confirmed as broadcasting then these steps may resolve the problem.
Try each one in turn and check for a resolve:
2. Channel Up / Channel down
Select another channel (like BBC1) and then reselect ESPN.
Wait a few moments for ESPN to descramble.
3. Power your TV OFF and back to ON
This will cause the TV to re-recognise the CAM.
Select ESPN and wait a few moments for ESPN to descramble.
4. Re-seat your ESPN /Top Up TV viewing card
Simply slip the viewing card from the CAM slot and reinsert.
Select ESPN and wait a few moments for ESPN to descramble.
5. Re-seat your CAM
Turn off your television at the mains power.
Remove the CAM from the television CI slot.
Re-insert the CAM (A guide to the proper insertion of the CAM and viewing card can be found in the Download section of the Help Centre).
Switch the television back on.
Select ESPN and wait a few moments for ESPN to descramble.
6. Check ESPN is active on the viewing card
If you are unable to view ESPN it may be that your viewing permissions have expired.
To check this, access your televisions CI menu using the TV remote control. You may have to consult your TV's manual for this.
Once located, check the “TUTV Expiry Date”. This date should be a date in the future. If the date is in the past then call out technical team on 08712 714 271 to reauthorize ESPN.
